My Greatest Accomplishment

In everyone’s lives they accomplish many things. Whether it is musical, physical, or academic, all achievements are something to be proud of. My greatest achievement was one of a musical sort. When I was 13, I was chosen out of hundreds of young musicians to audition for a private orchestra, the Florida Youth Orchestra. One of the scouts had seen and heard me perform in the Broward County All-County band earlier that year and sent me a letter requesting my participation in the audition. I was so excited that I immediately went to my band director at the time and got the audition music. Two weeks after my audition, I received another letter stating that I had been accepted and that the chairing music would be sent in an email to my parents.

This accomplishment helped me to be more confident as a musician. I always audition for everything I can for the pure experience. The only audition failed is the audition not taken.
